SEAS Gets a New Domain Name!

Print Friendly

The founders of SEAS are delighted to announce the domain name acquired for the society!  We have debated the domain name for several days and finally decided on a name that is representative of the values and spirit of our Society.

The color Blue represents wisdom and trust while Light Houses represent safe harbors for lost vessels at sea.  We feel that Blue Lighthouses are the moderators of SEAS and collectively provide these safe harbors for all members seeking guidance and direction.

Welcome to our community and we look forward to your active participation.

  1. I think the name is a perfect fit for our society. Great choice!

    • We are delighted that you think so Jayme. We also look forward to your valuable contribution, always.

  2. For sure, when explained, domain name you have chose is relevant. and accurate. If you type “bluelighthouse” on google you would be amazed about results 🙂 (in french, results are mainly restaurants !)
If you focus on EA, why not to have EA in the domain name? like EAchallenges, EAresults, … ?

  3. clarify the objectives. LinkedIn group discussion is one input. I guess website is another level. If you have an expectation like gaining access to potential customers, or any business expectations, it must be clearly mentioned. Sothat anybody can choose where to post.

Thank you Francois for the comments. Our intentions are stated clearly in the mission statement we want to offer a differentiated community experience to our members! The society is not for profit, so any future business ventures will be to further the mission of collaboration between all the members and improve knowledge sharing and research.

The strategy is also clear: LinkedIn is member driven with discussions and polls and Bluelighthouse is moderator driven and supported by a research framework. Also, on Bluelighthouse we can share deliverables and resources by embedding them in our research articles.

As time progresses we want members to be engaged in research and development As well and Bluelighthouse will offer us this collaboration capability.

We are happy for your participation and look forward to your continued contribution.

    • Thanks Fadi. That’s a great initiative.
